745HP Hellcat Swapped C10
1968 Chevrolet C10 “SRT8C10”
Let’s start with the elephant in the room, this C10 has a Hellcat motor under the hood. No SBC, or even an LS like you’d expect. Just a fire breathing supercharged Mopar under the hood. Not just any crate engine either, the owner did a little tweaking on it which then makes the Hellcat pump out 745HP - to the wheels!
Now you might be asking yourself why put a Hellcat motor in a C10? Well the owner is a big Mopar fan but had a C10 in high school. His two loves combined with this truck you see here.
Backing that power mill is a factory Challenger 6-Speed trans that sends those horses through a Currie 9” rearend. The chassis remains stock but has Porterbuilt A-Arms and Viking Performance dual adjustable shocks. Oh yeah, let’s not forget the air bags to give this truck a sinister stance with Accuair management. Stopping this beast is a complete set of Wilwood disc brakes that are inside a set of HRE wheels.
On the inside a set of Dakota Digital gauges adorn the dash to keep tabs on that Hellcat engine. The door panels remain stock but they went with a complete set of TMI Products Universal Pro-Classic Sport XR bucket seats. These are stitched up in black vinyl with black suede inserts on the bolstering, and a light gray suede on the insert on the center section.
Instead of leaving a gap between the seats, they utilized a Pro-Series Universal Sport-XR Buddy Console. When folded down you have an armrest and two cup holders for maximum comfort. But you can flip it up for an additional seat and under the bottom cushion is a cubby for storage.
The end result is a truck that looks just as good as it drives. You can cruise this C10 from coast to coast but if you hit the gas pedal you’d better hold on!
