Chevy C10 New Products
Chevy C10 Expanded Product Line
The Chevy C10 series of trucks is an absolute juggernaut. Its inception as a product line started in 1960 and lasted all the way through to 1987 and was split into three generations. The stoutly built utilitarian truck served many different purposes no matter what year was chosen. Designed to be used for work, the C10 model line took on a life of its own as many who bought the truck integrated into their lives and used it for so much more.
Besides being a work truck, the C10 took on many faces including being the backbone of a small business, bought by the fleet to survey land, and becoming some lucky teenager’s first mode of transportation. You can barely throw a rock and not hit someone that had a dad, uncle, grandpa, friend of a friend, or loose acquaintance that had a C10 in their past.
The C10’s presence in the custom truck market has always been felt as well, but none more than in the past few decades. Some would argue that the Single Cab Short Bed sport truck craze was initiated by the 1988 Chevy 1500 and they’d be right. But when the ’88-’98 SCSB craze started, it elevated the previous generations of C10s to be scooped up for cheap and had engines, suspensions, and big tires installed for an instant transformation.
TMI already had a great lineup of products for these hugely popular trucks but wanted to give owners and builders more options. TMI decided to create some new patterns and instantly knew that the Chevy C10 was the place for it. The newly designed Double Diamond pattern was a fitting choice for a lineup of trucks that made its debut firmly in the hot rod era. The Double Diamond pattern pays homage to those early days of cool with a pattern that plays off the diamond stitch’s timelessness but gives it an update using TMI’s superior manufacturing abilities.
The diamond shape gets softened a bit to create more flow and less harshness while the double stitching technique is unique in the industry. The Double Diamond pattern was given guaranteed fitment into the 1967-1987 C10 line and appears in a set of Pro-Series universal Low Back Seats as well as the door panels classic trucks.
